Twitter Edit Button: For Twitter users, that update has finally arrived, which they do not know how long they have been waiting. Twitter said that it is ready to roll out its much-awaited Edit Tweet feature on September 21. However, this feature will first be available to Blue subscribers, who pay $4.99 per month. Using this feature, users can re-edit a tweet even after it has been tweeted once. Edited Tweet feature will appear with a timestamp and label, letting readers know that the original tweet has been modified. After tapping on this label, readers will be able to see the full history of that tweet, including the full version of the tweet.
Edit tweet feature will come from September 21
Casey Newton of the platformer said in a tweet that the feature is likely to be rolled out to the public next week.
He said while posting that according to the internal documents shared by Twitter, public testing of the Edit Tweet feature will start from Wednesday 21 September. Users have been demanding an edit button for a long time to correct typos and grammar mistakes in the tweet.
Twitter announced
Let us tell you that earlier this month, Twitter announced its testing with an internal team before rolling out the Edit Tweet feature for its users.
Twitter said it is intentionally testing Edit Tweet with a small group to see how people might abuse the feature. Twitter said that this testing will be limited to only one country at first so that we can see how people are using this feature.
According to the microblogging platform, "We will also look at how this feature affects the way people read, write and engage with Tweets."
