The company has released a statement on this issue. According to the statement of WhatsApp, among the 23.87 lakh accounts, 14 lakh accounts were banned before receiving the user's complaint.
In July, the number of banned accounts increased

More than 22 lakh accounts were banned on WhatsApp in June (WhatsApp Banned accounts in June). The company has banned these accounts through its mechanism on the basis of complaints and violations received from its complaint redressal channel.
So many accounts were banned in April-May
According to a PTI report, WhatsApp banned 19 lakh accounts in May, while 16 lakh accounts were banned in April and 18.05 lakh accounts were banned in March based on complaints.
