The company has released a statement on this issue. According to the statement of WhatsApp, among the 23.87 lakh accounts, 14 lakh accounts were banned before receiving the user's complaint.


In July, the number of banned accounts increased

Let us know that the number of accounts banned by WhatsApp in this financial year is the highest number of accounts in July. More than 22 lakh accounts were banned on WhatsApp in June (WhatsApp Banned accounts in June). The company has banned these accounts through its mechanism on the basis of complaints and violations received from its complaint redressal channel.


So many accounts were banned in April-May

According to a PTI report, WhatsApp banned 19 lakh accounts in May, while 16 lakh accounts were banned in April and 18.05 lakh accounts were banned in March based on complaints.


Impact of Indian IT regulations

According to IT regulations, large digital platforms with 50 lakh users are required to publish a compliance report every month. In this, the details of how many complaints are there, how many complaints are there?


Let me tell you that from 1 July 2022 to 31 July 2022, WhatsApp has banned 23,87,000 accounts. Out of this, 14,16,000 accounts have been banned before receiving complaints from users. WhatsApp gave this information in this month's compliance report.
