According to the report of IANS, a bug was found in Instagram, due to which anyone could change the cover picture or thumbnail of Instagram reels. But for this it was necessary to have a video owner. With this, millions of accounts made on Instagram could be hacked. Let us tell you that Instagram and Facebook had to be started about this mistake. As soon as the company came to know about this, he fact-checked through his team. On fact checking it proved to be correct.





How did Neeraj Sharma find the bug?

Neeraj Sharma said on this that, 'There was a bug in Facebook's Instagram, through which the thumbnail of the reel could be changed from any account. No matter how strong the account holder's password may be, the media ID of the account was needed to change it. Neeraj further explains, 'In December last year, I started finding fault in my Instagram account. After a lot of hard work, on the morning of 31st January, I came to know about the (bug) mistake of Instagram.'



Neeraj further said, 'I told Facebook about this mistake on Instagram and got a reply from them after three days. Later he asked me to share a demo. After a reply from the company, Neeraj changed the thumbnail and showed it to them in 5 minutes. They approved his report and on the night of May 11, he received a mail from Facebook in which they told him that he had been given a reward of $ 45,000 (about Rs 35 lakh). At the same time, in lieu of the delay of four months in giving the reward, Facebook also gave $ 4500 (about Rs 3 lakh) as a bonus.
