TRAI orders telecom companies, bring 30 days validity plan in 60 days

TRAI issues order: TRAI has said that at least one plan, one special tariff voucher and one special recharge plan will have to be valid for the whole month. TRAI issues order: Telecom regulator TRAI has become tough on telecom companies. It has issued a new order to telecom companies. According to this, at least 1 plan has to be kept which is valid for the whole month. Companies have been given 60 days to implement this. A 1-month plan will be necessary from June 1, 2022. The special thing is that this plan will be valid till the last date of the month.

In fact, TRAI was constantly getting complaints from customers regarding this. According to customers, companies are reducing the validity of the plan/tariff and making it 28 days instead of one month.

Recently, TRAI had said that it had received complaints from consumers expressing concerns about tariff proposals by telecom service providers with a validity of 28 days (or multiple thereof). Not about tariff offers with validity for 30 days or one month. The Telecom Regulatory said that with the enactment of the amendment, telecom subscribers will have more options to choose the service offer of suitable validity and duration.
